The Truth Behind
The Clinton Misinformation Machine

Hillary and Bill Clinton want to win this election - badly. Fine. Who wouldn't. But don't do it by smearing a good man with true vision and charisma, hope for the future, and sound Democratic policies. The Clintons are playing some very dirty pool. All we Democrats appreciated when they gave it good to their Republican opponents, and there's so much material there to work with, they didn't need to make anything up! But confronted with a non-coronating nomination process and the serious chance that they might actually lose that nomination to a principled, inspiring opponent, the Clintons have chosen to take the low road.

One of the latest low blows involves the insidious use of race baiting. Read what Dick Morris, an insider when it comes to hard-nosed campaign strategy, had to say in his article:

How Clinton Will Win the Nomination by Losing S.C..

In a sickening ploy that makes me want to vomit, the Clintons are highlighting the issue of race and pressing it so that Obama will lose white votes at the expense of blacks. For many blacks in South Carolina, the hope of one of their own winning the presidency is a real one - one that could result in an improvement of their lives. Some of these folks are among the poorest of the poor. This article laments the tragedy that Obama connects with these people at the very real possible expense of losing the nomination.

Obama risks votes by proving he's black enough

In all three primary/caucus events thusfar, the Clinton campaign has been accused of voter suppression in the face of a tough campaign, with much to substantiate those claims. Read:

And in this Washington Post piece, we see some big Democratic party names very upset over the Clintons' "politics of deception" (to borrow a phrase from a former chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party):

And by the way, about those tears, here's an article describing how the woman who asked Hillary the question that provoked them ultimately voted for Obama, and why:
